Police have identified the man who allegedly shot an Uber driver and a woman July 28 in northwest Atlanta.

Tavoris “Money” Ferrell, 30, is described as “armed and dangerous,” police said Friday as they released new information.

Ferrell is about 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, according to police. He’s wanted on an aggravated battery charge.

The Uber driver and the woman were in critical condition after the incident, police said.

The shootings, which happened in the same neighborhood, started about 5:30 a.m., Officer Donald Hannah said at the time.

The shooter entered the car of a woman he knew outside a convenience store in the 1300 block of Joseph E. Boone Boulevard, according to police.

“Soon after, the female victim was located in her vehicle in the yard of a residence on Oakmont Drive after being shot in the face,” Hannah said.

According to Channel 2 Action News, the woman panicked and crashed the car into a house on Oakmont Drive while looking for help.

The shooter then traveled east and opened fire on the Uber driver’s car at the intersection of Joseph E. Boone Boulevard and Hamilton E. Holmes Drive, police said.

The driver was hit in the abdomen, Hannah said. The passenger had minor injuries from fragments of glass.

Officials do not know what prompted the shootings.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police.
