Gwinnett County authorities are searching for this man they believe started a car fire.

Gwinnett County fire authorities are searching for a man they believe set a vehicle on fire in a luxury apartment complex parking lot near Coolray Field.

The alleged arsonist started the fire early Sunday at The Views at Coolray Field Luxury Apartment Flats in the 700 block of Braves Avenue in unincorporated Lawrenceville, Gwinnett Fire and Emergency Services said in a news release.

Firefighters found a 2004 Buick LeSabre fully engulfed in flames, the release said. The car was totaled and four other vehicles nearby suffered moderate cosmetic damage due to the intense flames.

Surveillance video from the apartment complex shows the man attempting to open a secure gate before jumping the fence, the release said. He’s then seen trying to enter multiple vehicles and running away as fire erupts from the corner of the parking lot.

He was also seen inside the lobby and stairwell of the building before going outside and setting the fire, the release said.

The release said the suspect will likely face charges including arson, criminal trespass, burglary and entering auto.

Georgia Arson Control Inc. is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.
