A man already in prison on child sexual exploitation charges pleaded guilty to new child molestation charges, Cobb County District Attorney’s Office spokeswoman Kim Isaza said in a news release.

Eric Burton Eisenbach, 45, was serving a prison term for computer pornography and child sexual exploitation out of Catoosa County when he entered the plea a day before his trial was scheduled to begin.

Eisenbach was sentenced to 25 years in prison without parole and life on probation.

According to the release, Eisenbach molested a young girl between 2007 and 2008. When the girl turned 7 in 2012, she told her parents that Eisenbach molested her when she was at his home.

Eisenbach was a friend of the victim’s mother, who would take the girl to his Kennesaw home when she had to work late.

“The resolution in this case brings closure to this child after nearly a decade, and spares her the trauma of having to go through a trial,” Cobb County Assistant District Attorney Courtney Veal said. “It also ensures that this defendant will not be able to victimize another child in our community.”
