Smyrna police are looking for a man they say shot a driver in the head, killing him Monday night at a Texaco.

The suspect was seen getting out of a dark green Chevrolet Avalanche just before 11 p.m., Smyrna police Deputy Chief Robert Harvey said in a news release.

The victim was seen walking out of the store on South Cobb Drive and heading toward the fuel pumps when the suspect shot him.

Harvey said the suspect appears to be in his mid-30s and is between 5-10 and 6 feet tall. He weighs about 170 pounds.

The Chevy has a partially faded driver’s front and rear door, with a blacked-out Chevrolet emblem on the grill. Tools were seen in the truck bed, such as a vacuum cleaner and a spool of large gauge wire.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Smyrna police non-emergency number at 770-434-6666.
