One man was arrested Thursday morning during a federal raid at home in East Cobb County, according to a spokesman for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Federal agents searched a brick, two-story home in the 1600 block of Barn Swallow Place in the Chestnut Springs neighborhood. Agents carried out boxes of evidence before arresting the man, whose name was not released.

The arrest was part of a multi-state criminal investigation, according to Bryan Cox, a spokesman for Homeland Security. The investigation may have involved Fentanyl, a deadly synthetic opioid, Channel 2 Action News reported.

No further details were released about the investigation.

Agents left with several boxes of evidence.
