Two people were killed in an overnight home invasion in Clayton County, police said.

Scherell Venisee, 37, was found dead just after midnight Monday from gunshot wounds inside a home in the 4400 block of Chester Lane in Ellenwood, Channel 2 Action News reported. Dectric Searcy, 27, was found on the garage floor suffering from gunshot wounds.

He later died at a hospital.

Clayton County police say a “felony amount” of drugs were found during a search of the home, Channel 2 reported, leading them to believe the deaths were drug related.

Detectives are still investigating and no suspects have been identified.
