A Kennesaw woman bonded out of jail less than 24 hours after she was arrested in the death of a Marietta pedestrian.

Amanda Ambrose, 25, was arrested Wednesday on misdemeanor charges of second-degree vehicular homicide and speeding, according to a booking report.

Those charges stem from an Oct. 1 collision at Canton and Blackwell roads, according to the Cobb County Sheriff's Office.

Forrest L. Mann, 22, was walking west across Canton Road near Blackwell Circle when he was hit by a white 2007 Ford Focus heading north about 9:20 p.m., according to the Cobb County Police Department at the time.

An ambulance took him to WellStar Kennestone Hospital where he died of his injuries.

A GoFundMe page that has raised more than $2,750 for Mann said that he was leaving the gym when he was struck and killed.

Police also said that Ambrose was treated at the scene.

She bonded out for $5,720.

The phone number listed for Ambrose on the booking sheet was disconnected.

Ambrose avoided jail time in February 2015 when officers found her with 90 Oxycodone pills and a bag of methamphetamine.

She was hiding in the bathroom of a Pet Supplies Plus store.

As part of a deal, a judge sentenced her to three years of probation.
