A woman who fell into Lake Lanier on Friday morning has died at the hospital, authorities confirmed.
Agne Krutules, 40, of Atlanta, fell off a boat at an Aqualand Marina dock off Lights Ferry Road a little before 1:45 a.m., the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
A homeowner found Krutules in the water and held her head above the surface until deputies arrived, the release said. She was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in critical condition.
It’s believed she was in the lake for about six minutes, the release said.
Detectives do not suspect foul play, the release said. The initial investigation indicated alcohol may have been a contributing factor to her fall.
