DeKalb County police are investigating a deadly shooting at the Lavish Bistro restaurant and lounge.

A club security guard was justified when he shot and killed a customer who went to his car after an argument and returned with a gun, DeKalb police said.

Authorities made that determination after interviewing the guard and witnesses of the 4:30 a.m. shooting at the Lavish Bistro restaurant and lounge near Decatur.

No charges will be filed against the guard, whose name has not been released.

Customers were still inside the club about 6:20 a.m. Friday when homicide detectives arrived on the scene in the 3400 block of Covington Drive. Police could be seen towing cars from the club more than two hours later.

The customer’s name has not been released, but police said he was 26 years old.
