After an investigation into the death of a 43-year-old Montana man killed in Holly Springs, police charged a Gainesville man with murder on Thursday.

Bryan Overseth of Big Fork, Montana, was found shot to death Jan. 21.

He had been visiting family and friends in the Harmony on the Lakes subdivision of Holly Springs, Det. Greg Bettis previously told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Robert Gialenios, 34, was initially arrested on charges of loitering, prowling and stalking, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Jay Baker said.

On Thursday, Gialenios was charged with murder in connection to Overseth’s death and continues to be held without bond at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center.
