A man accused of shooting his roommate in Gwinnett County has been captured, police said.

An anonymous tip led police to 1463 Bowman Road in unincorporated Lawrenceville about 8 p.m. Sunday, Gwinnett police spokeswoman Cpl. Michele Pihera said.

Christopher Kemp, 35, was sitting in a car when police arrived.

Police had been searching for Kemp since his roommate, 35-year-old Justin Lopes, was found shot and bleeding outside his Lawrenceville home Nov. 20.

Kemp is facing charges of aggravated battery, aggravated assault, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, loitering or prowling and theft by receiving. He was being held on a $14,750 bond in the Gwinnett County jail Monday.
