Gwinnett County police are seeking four men who allegedly stole more than $4,000 of activated, prepaid gift cards from a Home Depot in Norcross.

The men used the cards to get cash at Publix stores in DeKalb County, Cpl. Deon Washington said.

The theft was reported Jan. 15 by a Home Depot cashier, Washington said. Since then, the cashier has admitted that he helped in the theft. He was arrested Jan. 24 on charges of false report of a crime and theft by taking.

The men at large are described as 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-11 and weighing 140 to 170 pounds, Washington said. They were driving a gold or beige Mercedes-Benz.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 770-513-5300. Also, tipsters can remain anonymous, and be eligible for rewards of up to $2,000, by contacting Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477, texting information to 274637 or visiting crimestoppersatlanta.org.
