A northwest Georgia woman has been charged with killing her father after investigators found him shot multiple times in their house, authorities said.

About 1 a.m. Sunday, Whitfield County deputies found Hannah Henderson, 25, standing in the driveway of a home in the 4000 block of South Dixie Highway, the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office said in an incident report.

She had called 911 and said she shot her father, 50-year-old George Samuel Henderson, over assault allegations involving her son, according to the report.

George Henderson was found lying in blood on the kitchen floor with bloody footprints leading outside, deputies said.

Hannah Henderson and her father were in a physical altercation, but evidence at the scene did not support her version of what happened, investigators said.

She also was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of a handgun in the commission of a crime.
