GBI investigates use of force

The GBI was investigating use of force in connection with a shooting about 5 p.m. Tuesday in LaGrange.
James Thompson died and another person was taken to a local hospital following a shooting on Hines Road, GBI spokeswoman Nelly Miles said.
There was no officer involved in the shooting, but the agency was assisting with crime scene processing, Miles said.
