A Florida man drove his vehicle through the back of a Lowe’s Home Improvement store, entered the loading area and began sawing lumber.

Authorities were called Thursday morning to the store in Gainesville after a man drove his car through a set of hanging plastic strips at a loading door in the back, according to the Gainesville Sun.

The man then parked his car, took out a circular saw and began to cut lumber. He allegedly threatened employees who attempted to intervene.

When Gainesville police officers arrived, they attempted to stun the man with a Taser during a struggle.

“He was very combative, but I don’t think he realized what was going on — he couldn’t comprehend the orders we were giving him,” Sgt. Stephen Girard told the Gainesville Sun.

The man was hospitalized for an involuntary mental health check under Florida’s Baker Act law, according to the Gainesville Sun.

The man’s dog was sitting in the car following the incident and was taken care of by officers.
