A dozen apartments were damaged in a Friday afternoon fire near College Park, according to the Red Cross.

The nonprofit is helping the 30 people displaced by the fire at the Royal Oaks Apartments off Camp Creek Parkway. Atlanta Fire Rescue extinguished the fire, and no one was hurt during the incident.

The Red Cross is helping find the 11 families housing through the weekend, and volunteers are working to provide them with food, clothing, health services and other essentials, the nonprofit said in a news release.

No other details been released. AJC.com has reached out to Atlanta Fire Rescue for more details on the cause of the fire.
