When a motel clerk didn’t have the key to open a safe, police say two teenagers fired shots before leading Coweta County sheriff’s officials on a chase.
Demondre Goodman, 17, of Atlanta, and Chivas Feast, 19, of College Park, face an armed robbery charge after police say the two walked inside the Super 8 on U.S. 29 in Newnan on Thursday and demanded money, Newnan police spokeswoman Gina Snyder said.
One of the men grabbed the clerk by her neck, dragged her to a safe and demanded she open it, police said. He fired shots when she said she didn’t have the key, but she was not struck.

The two then led police on a chase in a Dodge Durango and nearly hit one of them head-on.
“(Police) were able to bring the car to a stop, blocking it in behind one of the buildings,” Capt. John Kennedy told Channel 2 Action News.
Feast and Goodman were taken to the Coweta County jail.
Authorities believe they are connected to other crimes in metro Atlanta, including an armed robbery at a Chevron gas station on Roosevelt Highway in Palmetto.
