DeKalb police are searching for four men accused in a pawn shop burglary.

DeKalb County police are searching for four men they say broke into a pawn shop and stole $9,000 worth of guns and electronics.

About 3:30 a.m. Monday, the men broke into the Candler Road Pawn Shop and made off with six long rifles, a replica Thompson submachine gun and two Sony PlayStation 4s, according to a DeKalb County police report.

“We are suspecting they probably cased the location prior to going in,” Dekalb police Lt. Brian DeLoach told Channel 2 Action News. “That's a viable lead that we are following right now.”

Police said the men pulled up to the shop in a black, four-door sedan, walked to the front of the building, and cut off the padlock on the front gates.

One of the suspects broke the front glass door as the other three men walked inside the business, according the police report. The men eventually drove off with the guns and electronics.

Police told Channel 2 the estimated worth of the stolen items was $9,000.

Two hours after the burglary, police found a stolen car with gloves, a shotgun and a sledgehammer believed to be connected to the crime. The driver inside the stolen car was not arrested.

No descriptions of the suspects have been released, but police urge anyone to call them with any information they may have on the crime.

“Anytime you have individuals with weapons … and possibly with criminal records, we know nothing good is going to happen from having those (guns) in their hands,” DeLoach said.
