Authorities say a man wanted in Forsyth County for allegedly stealing guns and other items from cars should be considered armed and dangerous, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Keith Laird, 24, entered several cars in Forsyth County and tried to use a stolen credit card in Gwinnett County, authorities told the station.

There are warrants out on Laird in both counties, Forsyth County sheriff’s officials said in a Facebook post.

Some of the burglaries happened in the Blackstock Mill neighborhood in Cumming, Channel 2 reported. Officers said Laird, who they have been tracking for a week, stole computers, purses and guns from several cars.

“He rifled through everything,” victim Tom Pusateri said. “The glove box was open. If it was unlocked, he was looking for it.”

Authorities, who identified Laird from fingerprints, said they recovered a stolen AR-15 at his grandparents' house in Duluth.

“He’s armed, and I would say dangerous, also,” Forsyth County Sgt. Scott Bogus said, “because we don’t know what his intentions are with these firearms.”

Forsyth County sheriff’s deputies said anyone with information about Laird’s whereabouts can call 911 or a non-emergency number at 770-781-3087.

Police say he has more than two dozen warrants for his arrest in Gwinnett and Forsyth counties.
