A man accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl was sentenced to 25 years in prison without parole, Henry County District Attorney spokeswoman Megan Matteucci said.

Travius Luwon Penamon, 40, was convicted of aggravated child molestation in the 2012 sexual assault of a girl at a McDonough home, Matteucci said. GBI tests found Penamon’s DNA on the child and her clothing.

Penamon will spend the rest of his life on probation after his release from prison and must register as a sex offender.
