A 24-year-old Smyrna man is wanted by police after a woman was found dead Monday afternoon in her residence, Cobb County police said.

Brian Marsh Semrinec was charged with felony murder and aggravated assault, Sgt. Dana Pierce said. Semrinec is wanted in connection with the death of Shuyi Li, 28.

Officers found Li’s body in a residence in the 2300 block of Willington Shoals Place in Smyrna, Pierce said. Police checked on her after she didn’t show up for work.

No cause of death was released.

Semrinec is believed to be driving the victim’s white 2015 Honda CRV with Georgia tag CDD3152. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call police at 770-499-3945 or 911.

Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills said the District Attorney plans to seek the death penalty in the case.
