Cartersville police are still looking for two people in connection with the theft of a police car Saturday.

The car was found Sunday.

“When this vehicle was taken, it was an officer conducting a traffic stop,” police Capt. Hubert Ledbetter told Channel 2 Action News on Tuesday.

Police say Rudy Lee Vinson and Annastatia Nicole Earwood managed to get into the car and drove off with Vinson in the driver’s seat, Channel 2 reported. Three police agencies pursued.

Vinson and Earwood are wanted on unrelated burglary charges.

The car was found with all the firearms inside. Will the suspects be found?

“Sometimes people involved in these activities, they know how to play hide and seek sometimes,” Ledbetter said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Cartersville Police Department at 770-382-2526.
