People inside a Cherokee County hair salon were surprised but not injured Thursday when a car crashed into the business, officials said.
About 11:15 a.m., fire officials responded to the Mane Kreations, which is in the Kroger shopping center on Marietta Highway, Cherokee fire spokesman Tim Cavender said.
The owner said she was up front when she heard a loud boom and saw a car, a Scion XD hatchback, coming straight toward her, he said. The 66-year-old driver and his wife also were uninjured. Authorities did not release their names.
Employees and a customer were inside when the crash happened, Cavender said. The storefront was heavily damaged. Broken glass was scattered over the scene.
The Holly Springs Police Department is investigating in the crash, Cavender said.
