Officers were taken to the hospital after a shootout with a man at the intersection of Athens Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard , Gainesville police said in a Facebook pose late Friday.
Police said the suspect fired at officers, who shot back. The officers were taken to the hospital. Their condition was not relased.
The suspect is described as a man with longer hair, wearing a black leather jacket and blue jeans, according to the post.
