Officer-involved shooting reported in Atlanta

UPDATE [5:10 p.m.]: One person was killed in an officer-involved shooting in East Point, the GBI confirmed.

ORIGINAL STORY: Atlanta police are investigating an officer-involved shooting on the 1000 block of Cleveland Avenue in East Point, officials confirmed.

“There are no other details that can be released at this time,” Atlanta police Officer Stephanie Brown said.

The GBI is headed to the scene.

Cleveland Avenue between Blount Street and Sylvan Road is closed, according to Channel 2 Action News.
