A 16-month-old Hapeville boy and another man died Friday in a three-vehicle crash on I-85 in Alabama, Al.com reports.

Angel Zaragoza and 55-year-old Roberto Linares of Montgomery, Ala., were passengers in a minivan that was struck from behind by a tractor-trailer.

The minivan struck a Ford in front of it and Linares, who was not wearing a seat belt, was killed.

Zaragoza was properly restrained in a child seat, according to media reports.

The family had already raised more than $8,000 on GoFundMe Monday night for funeral expenses.
