4 Atlantans indicted over 2011 home invasion of jewelry store owner

Four Atlanta men have been indicted in Gwinnett County in connection with a 2011 armed home invasion of a jewelry store owner, authorities said. Also, three of the men were arrested in January in Gwinnett for allegedly conspiring to rob a jewelry store owner.

Jarvis Levoyd Tucker, 45, Jason Jermoine Tucker, 36, and Darden Bernard Walker, 28, were indicted Wednesday by a Gwinnett County grand jury, according to a media release Friday by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Another Atlantan, Lamon Jackson, 46, also was indicted in connection with the September 2011 home invasion.

Jarvis Tucker, Jason Tucker and Walker were arrested in January in Norcross in a joint operation between the FBI and Gwinnett police, according to the Gwinnett County incident report. Authorities said they were conspiring to rob a jewelry store owner at his residence.

The FBI SWAT team and Gwinnett K9s were used in the January arrest, Gwinnett police said.

After this week’s indictment, Jackson was arrested by Atlanta police at his residence in the 400 block of Highland Avenue, the FBI said. All of the men were in custody at the Gwinnett jail Friday.

The 2011 home invasion occurred at the Lawrenceville home of the owner of four jewelry stores, according to the Gwinnett police incident report. One of the theft suspects forced the owner into his house at gunpoint as he arrived home from work, the report said.

The suspect told the man that he knew he owned the jewelry stores.

The three suspects also duct-taped the family members and demanded money and jewels, before leaving after about 15 minutes, the report said. Family members eventually freed themselves and called 911.
