Two men accused of shooting a man and then robbing him outside a southeast Atlanta apartment complex have been arrested.

Scean Mitchell, 19, of Atlanta, and Jaquavious Johnson, 20, of Decatur, remained in the Fulton County jail on murder charges Monday morning. Mitchell also faces armed robbery and influencing a witness charges.

The men allegedly gunned down Calvin Clark Jr. and stole from him, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Clark was killed July 14 at an apartment complex in the 600 block of Newtown Circle. Family members told the news station that Mitchell and Johnson also stole money from him.

“I just want them to pay for what they did to Calvin. I would even push for the death penalty,” Clark’s mother, Quacher Williams, told Channel 2. “They need to be done to the maximum.”

Mitchell has had previous run-ins with police, including an April 21 arrest for aggravated assault, armed robbery and gun charges. He bonded out of jail in that incident in May.

“The investigation to determine if they are linked to any other crimes is underway,” Atlanta police Officer Donald Hannah told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The suspects are scheduled to appear in court Aug. 14.
