Officials from multiple agencies tracked down and arrested on Wednesday 19 people who allegedly violated parole or probation.

Many were sex offenders who failed to register and felons who violated conditions of their release, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Thomas McGee was arrested at his DeKalb County apartment, but officials were searching for someone else. McGee told Channel 2 he didn’t know a warrant had been issued for his arrest on robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon charges.

Jail records show McGee failed to appear in court three times last October.

Officers determined McGee’s identity and confirmed the warrant with a mobile finger print scan at the scene.

James Hill, with the Department of Community Supervision, told Channel 2 they started out Wednesday with 45 warrants for arrest and had 19 in custody by late afternoon.

“We'll continue to gather information and intelligence (about) those individuals (we didn’t catch) and attempt to serve those warrants again,” Hill told Channel 2.
