‘Armed and dangerous’ suspect sought in deadly Aldi parking lot shooting

Police are looking for a man accused in a deadly shooting at an Aldi parking lot.

Dayvonn “D-Boy” Boyer faces felony murder charges in connection with the shooting death of David Gibbs on Thursday, Clayton County police Sgt. Ashanti Marbury said.

Gibbs was found dead in the back seat of a car on the 5800 block of Riverdale Road near College Park, Marbury said.

Police are not sure what led to the shooting, but said Gibbs was seen inside a car with an “unknown number of males” and may have been involved in an altercation.

Boyer is considered armed and dangerous. Police believe Boyer may be with two other possible suspects who have not been identified.
