Acworth teen found dead of gunshot wound at home
A 17-year-old boy was found dead of a gunshot wound in Bartow County.
A 17-year-old boy was found dead of a gunshot wound in an Acworth home Tuesday, authorities said.
About 5 p.m., officials responded to a home in the 4800 block of Ryan Road, Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap said. The teen was found with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he died, Millsap said.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation plans an autopsy this week, the sheriff said. The investigation is ongoing.
