Three people, including a 14-year-old boy, were shot outside a southeast Atlanta home Tuesday night, police said.

The shooting occurred about 6:50 p.m. on the 1200 block of Redford Drive, Atlanta police Officer Stephanie Brown said.

According to Channel 2 Action News, nearly 40 bullets were sprayed in what police believe to be a drive-by shooting.

Witnesses told police that a woman was the target in the shooting, the news station reported. She had recently gotten into an argument with her boyfriend.

The teen and a man were sitting inside a car at the time of the shooting, Channel 2 reported.

Brown said one victim was shot in the stomach, a woman was shot in the hand and another victim was shot in the leg. It is not yet known what injury the teenager sustained.

He was taken to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. The other victims were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.

All three were alert, conscious and breathing, Brown said. Their identities were not released.

Authorities are searching for two suspects, Channel 2 reported.
