Two people, including the child’s grandmother, were arrested in connection with a Paulding County toddler’s drowning death last month.

The 2-year-old drowned in a home pool on the evening of April 24.

Hubert Glendon Morgan, 40, and Nancie Leann Jones, 42, were both arrested and charged with reckless conduct, Paulding County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Cpl. Ashley Henton told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Jones, the child’s grandmother, and Jones’ boyfriend Morgan were arrested Thursday and have since been released on $1,300 bond each, according to jail records.

The incident happened at a southern Paulding County home off Senator Road, authorities said.

It is unclear what led to the drowning.
