Atlanta police want to identify this man, accused of robbing a southwest Atlanta convenience store at gunpoint.

For hours Wednesday afternoon, a man played the slot machine at the Best for Less Food Mart in southwest Atlanta, according to the store manager. But apparently, he never hit the jackpot.

When he was done gambling, the man pointed a gun at the lone employee in the store and demanded cash, Atlanta police said. Still holding the gun, the man forced the employee to open the cash register, according to police. Then, the man helped himself to more cash from under the counter.

The man grabbed between $500 and $700 cash before running from the Campbellton Road store, the employee told police. The employee was not injured.

The suspect in the armed robbery was last seen wearing light blue jeans with rips, a gray hoodie with a cap underneath with a blue backpack, according to police. Investigators would like to identify another man who greeted the suspect near the slot machines. That man was seen in surveillance video wearing jeans with a blue hooded jacket under a navy jacket.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact CrimeStoppers 404-577-TIPS (8477) or online at www.crimestoppersatlanta.org. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
