Q: My husband’s favorite salad dressing is Kraft tangy bacon Catalina. I have tried to find it at Publix, Kroger, Target and Walmart, but have not been able find it in several months. I would prefer to buy it in a store. Can you help me locate a store please? Dee Conine, Tucker

A: You can find your husband's favorite dressing at Walmart Neighborhood Market, 3201 Tucker Norcross Road, Tucker, 770-225-6010. Ingredients in the tangy bacon Catalina dressing include sugar, tomato puree, vinegar, soybean oil, salt and fewer than two percent bacon bits. A 16-ounce bottle of the Kraft dressing costs $1.98.

Q: I really enjoy your column. It’s just neat to see what fun things you track down. I’m hoping you’ll be able to help me. My husband is a big fan of Hungry Jack original hash browns. They come in a box shaped like a small milk carton. You add water to the carton and let it soak for 12 minutes, then drain and prepare as you normally do hash browns. So good. My local Publix and Kroger no longer carry them. I have found some online, but they’re expensive. Would appreciate if you could find a local source for me. Thank you. Pat Robinson, email

A: Thank you, Pat. I found Hungry Jack original hash brown potatoes for you, and each 4.2-ounce carton is priced at $1.25. Simply order them through walmart.com, and pick them up at a store near you. You'll have to order a minimum of two cartons, but there's no added shipping charge for picking them up in the customer service department of your nearest Walmart.

Q: I am trying to find Bonne Bell extra dark bronzing gel. I’ve been using it for years and hope it’s not discontinued. It’s very affordable. I’ve been buying it online for several years. I’d even try something similar as long as it’s a gel makeup and not a tanner. I’d appreciate any help or suggestions. Thank you. Bonny Sanford, Canton

A: Bonny, the extra dark bronzing gel from Bonne Bell is no longer available, but I did find a substitute that some Bonne Bell fans find suitable. Check out Honey Bronze tinted face gel billed as a lightweight gel that offers a natural-looking, sun-kissed matte finish that washes off. A 1-ounce tube of Honey Bronze is available for $20 at The Body Shop, Perimeter Mall, 770-512-7875.

Q: Please, please help me find IT’S-IT ice cream. It’s the best ice cream ever. The company that makes it is in San Francisco. I’ve lived in Atlanta for 16 years and really miss the ice cream from my childhood. Thanks. Lorraine Soto, email

A: Lorraine, I agree with you, these regional ice cream sandwiches are tough to beat. While they're sold in a few New York stores, as well as in Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii, they're not available in Georgia. What sets the hefty IT'S-IT apart from other ice cream novelties is the sandwich component made from oatmeal cookies that taste as if they were recently pulled from grandma's oven. The cookies are held in place by a fat slab of ice cream, with flavors ranging from mint and cappuccino to strawberry and pumpkin, then drenched in slippery dark chocolate. IT'S-IT offers a few additional novelties, including SuperSundae bars and ChipsIT, made with chocolate chip cookies, but it's the original IT'S-IT that die-hard fans long for. The company now ships nationwide, and a case of 24 frozen treats sells for $22. You can order online through itsiticecream.com or by calling 800-345-1928. Note that the package is shipped in dry ice and the shipping charges will cost more than double the price of a case of IT'S-IT, but it might be worth it to you to relive an experience from your childhood.
