Where can I find: Neutrogena Rainbath, Uncle Sam Cereal, Final Net hairspray

Uncle Sam cereal has been providing healthy breakfasts for more than 100 years.

When readers could no longer find the large 40-ounce bottle of Neutrogena Rainbath Refreshing shower and bath gel at Costco, they didn’t lose any time sending me requests to find it for them. And legions of disappointed fans vented via comments on the Neutrogena website. Smaller bottles wouldn’t do; consumers clamored for the oversized pump bottle. Frankly, I had to agree because it was a favorite of mine, too. I knew the thrill of having massive amounts of Neutrogena available in the shower, without the worry of running out any time soon. A puny 16-ounce bottle just didn’t cut it. And while I directed readers to other warehouse stores, Costco members weren’t really satisfied having to snag a one-day pass at another store. But, that’s all in the past, now, because the coveted 40-ounce Neutrogena Rainbath is back at Costco for $17.49. In fact, Costco, 500 Brookhaven Ave., Atlanta, 404-460-1917, currently has more than 300 bottles of Neutrogena Rainbath in stock.

Q: My dad is a big fan of Uncle Sam cereal, but he can no longer find it in his neighborhood market. I haven’t noticed it and wondered if maybe it was one of those things that’s no longer made. It’s been a few years since he bought any. Could you find some of this cereal, please? Thanks. J. Marshall, email

A: Uncle Sam original wheat berry flakes provides a high-fiber cereal that’s been around for more than 100 years. And, yes, it’s still available but not in all major supermarkets. Loaded with 10 grams of fiber per serving, the cereal includes flax seed and barley malt. Made by Attune Foods, Uncle Sam comes in 10-ounce boxes that sell for $2.88 at Walmart, 4725 Ashford Dunwoody Road, Atlanta, 770-395-0199. The next time you’re in a Trader Joe’s or Sprouts, you might check the cereal aisle because it’s stocked in some of those stores, too.

Q: In the South, frizzy hair weather is fast approaching, and suddenly Final Net Hairspray, All Day Hold, Extra Hold, unscented, has disappeared from my area stores. My most recent purchases were from CVS. I would love it if you could locate this in my area as opposed to my having to order it online, which I prefer not to do. Thanks so much. Roberta Maddox, email

A: Roberta, rest assured that you’ll spend a frizz-free Georgia summer because your favorite Final Net hairspray is still available. You can find it at CVS, 3439 Ashford Dunwoody Road, Atlanta, 770-216-8605. An 8-ounce spray bottle of Final Net Hairspray, All-Day Hold, Extra Hold, unscented, costs $3.79.

Q: Why have grocery stores in Cobb stopped carrying Haagen-Dazs low fat frozen yogurt? Richard Taylor, Kennesaw

A: Richard, they haven’t, even though the frozen yogurt is not always easy to find. However, you can purchase pints of vanilla Haagen-Dazs low fat frozen yogurt for $4.99 at Kroger, 3595 Canton Road, Marietta, 770-924-7930.
