Mother’s Day 2017: wellness coach reveals why her sons make her proud

For Mother's Day this year, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution decided to feature local moms by doing a series of interviews.

But this time, we let the kids (of all ages) ask the questions.

In this interview, 30-year-old Julian Jelks, Jr. asks his mother, Lisa Washington, CEO of B’Tyli Wellness and Beauty Co. in Atlanta, for advice on being a great dad. He also asks about a moment when she was proud of him.

While some of the younger children got a little help from mom and dad, what comes through this and every other interview is love — and a special bond between mother and child.
