America's Top 10 Most Haunted Cities. Atlanta is full of places to scare the pants of you, but most are here for only the Halloween season.

Others, however, like historic Oakland Cemetery, have a long history of being haunted.

Oakland Cemetery is the final resting place of more than 70,000 people and some of Atlanta's and Georgia's most famous names, including Atlanta Mayor Ivan Allen Jr.; golfer Bobby Jones; Atlanta's first African American mayor, Maynard Jackson; and "Gone With the Wind" author Margaret Mitchell.

But if you want to be in the most haunted city in the United States this Halloween, you’ll need to drive south a few hours.

According to Yelp, Savannah is the most haunted city in America. Yelp analyzed its reviews and ranked cities based on the percentage with words like “ghost,” “haunt” and “creepy” in them. It didn’t count manufactured haunted houses, however.

That’s how Savannah came out on top.

If you go hunting for ghosts, check out Marshall House and the Sorrel Weed House.

The Marshall House is a hotel now, but it was a hospital during the Civil War and through two yellow fever epidemics. “Rumors and reports include guests seeing ghosts in the hallways and foyers, hearing children running down the long, narrow halls late at night, faucets turning on by themselves, and much more,” the hotel’s website states.

The Sorrel Weed House is believed to be the most haunted place in Savannah. In 2005, members of The Atlantic Paranormal Society from the TV show “Ghost Hunters” investigated the house and said they captured EVP evidence of ghosts. EVP stands for electronic voice phenomenon.

Or head to the 160-acre Bonaventure Cemetery, home to one of the most visited graves in the world. The grave belongs to "Little Gracie" — a 6-year-old girl with a spooky history. According to Conde Nast Traveler, one legend says that if any flowers or remembrances are removed from Gracie's grave, her statue will cry tears of blood.
