Whether it's office woes, a tight wallet, relationship issues or general day-to-day anxiousness, stress can feel unavoidable. But some areas really do have more of it than others, and for Georgia, Columbus is the most stressed city in the state, according to a recent Wallet Hub report.

The site examined 150 American cities across 27 key metrics that were categorized into five major topics: work-,money-, family-, health and safety-related stress and coping with stress.

Columbus ranked No. 7 based on its low scores for average weekly hours worked and job security, and Augusta wasn't too far behind at No. 11. While Atlanta's troubles placed the city at No. 31 overall, it's the fourth most stressed city in Georgia when it comes to money-related issues.

The article does make an optimistic point: stress in general is decreasing, with average stress levels on the downward slope since 2007.
