Skip the drive-thru: Make Chick-fil-A’s famous chicken nuggets at home

ajc.com

It's easy to see why Chick-fil-A is America's favorite fast food chain. In addition to short waits and friendly service, it makes some of the best darn chicken we've ever tasted.

But as far as fast food goes, Chick-fil-A is on the pricey side. So if you’re short on cash and craving fried chicken, just make Chick-fil-A’s famous nuggets in your own kitchen!

This creation from Homemade Recipes Every Days uses peanut oil, just like the Atlanta-based fast food chain, to get that authentic Chick-fil-A taste.

You will need:

  • 2 chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
  • ¾ cup milk
  • ¼ cup pickle juice
  • 1 egg
  • 1¼ cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • ½ cup peanut oil, divided (you can also use vegetable oil)
