Thousands of women will get inspired, energized and just have an "ahhhh" moment when the "Belong Tour" comes to Duluth this weekend.

The two-day event will be filled with music, stories and laughter for women from all walks of life, designed to help them live a faith-filled, purpose-filled life.

The 12-city tour features best-selling author and speaker Jen Hatmaker, Patsy Clairmont, Angela Davis, Shauna Niequist, Nichole Nordeman and Sharon Irving.

It will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Infinite Energy Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.

Tickets start at $79.

“We knew that we wanted to create a safe, inspiring environment where every single woman would know she has a seat at the table,” said Hatmaker, author of several books, including “For The Love: Fighting for Grace in a World of Impossible Standards.”

She said rather than develop a space with a lot of insider language and jargon that resonates with only some people, organizers decide to set “a really wide table.”

The event regularly draws between 6,000 and 9,000 people.

Atlanta was a key stop.

“Atlanta is vibrant,” said Hatmaker. “The women there are smart and interesting and diverse. It’s just a city with a great deal of energy and we knew if we landed a plane in Atlanta it would be a phenomenal weekend.”

The weekend, perhaps, could not have come at a better time, following a divisive presidential election. Hatmaker once described herself as a "left-leaning moderate."

She came under fire recently after a decision to affirm same-sex relationships. The decision resulted in LifeWay Christian Resources pulling her books from its shelves, according to Christianity Today. Representatives for the tour said Hatmaker would not discuss the LGBTQ issue during the interview.

“One thing we learned about women, even if we are painted as sort of one note in the media, is that women who love God and love each other are as diverse as they can possibly be. “
