Dragon Con descended upon Atlanta this Labor Day weekend.

The four-day convention, now in its 29th year, drew tens of thousands of people to downtown Atlanta, including actors and actresses from popular science fiction television shows and films.

Here are some celebrities making their mark on the social media map at #DragonCon2015.

1. Nichelle Nichols

Nichelle Nichols, who played communications officer Lieutenant Uhura aboard the USS Enterprise in the popular Star Trek television series and succeeding motion pictures, was the grand marshal of the annual Dragon Con Parade.

2. John Barrowman

The Scottish-American actor's "Doctor Who" character Jack Harkness was so popular it got its own spin-off series "Torchwood."

3. Felicia Day

The "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Supernatural" actress is also posting her favorite Dragon Con cosplays on Snapchat.

4. Katie Cassidy

The actress on the CW's series "Arrow" announced she was heading to Dragon Con with this image on Twitter.

5. Clare Kramer

The Atlanta-born actress best known for her role as the villian Glory in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" is back in her hometown for her birthday weekend.

6. Merrin Dungey

The actress known for her roles on the television series "The King of Queens," "Alias" and "Summerland" now portrays Ursula the Sea Witch in the ABC series "Once Upon a Time."

7. Zoie Palmer

The English-Canadian actress who plays Dr. Lauren Lewis in the Canadian supernatural drama "Lost Girl" paid a visit to Atlanta and poked some fun at the Atlanta police while she was here.

8. Tony Curran

Curran, of the films "Gladiator" and "Underworld: Evolution," was found roaming around elevators in downtown Atlanta. He also played Vincent van Gogh in a "Doctor Who" episode and is currently on the TV series "Defiance."

9. Danielle Panabaker

Augusta-born actress rose to fame in Disney movies such as "Sky High" and "Read it and Weep" also starred in The CW television series "The Flash."

10. Caroll Spinney

You may not recognize his face, but you may recognize his voice. Caroll Spinney is an American puppeteer and cartoonist, famous for playing Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch on Sesame Street.

11. Amy Bruni

SyFy's "Ghost Hunters" cast member got a taste of Atlanta traffic while she was in the city.

12. Nicole Beharie

The star from the Fox fantasy series "Sleepy Hollow" was on a Dragon Con panel with co-star Tom Mison.

13. D.C. Douglas

This voice actor has an extensive resume, from voicing The Master in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer video game to Albert Wesker in several Resident Evil video games.

14. David Hewlett

The English-Canadian actor is probably best known for playing Dr. Meredith Rodney McKay on the science fiction TV shows Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe.
