The Dunk King needs a studio audience Oct. 28 and 29 for shows taping at Fort Gillem in Forest Park.

When the television cameras roll near Atlanta, you don't have to watch from your couch.

Take a seat in the live audience. Or, if you dare, audition to be a contestant for the chance to win big right here in Atlanta.

Here are 4 opportunities to watch or be part of your favorite TV shows taping in Atlanta:

Join Shaq, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Brent Barry as part of a live audience for the TNT show where the king of dunks will leap out of obscurity and win $100,000.

In general, "The Dunk King" live show ticket information is posted up to 60 days in advance.

Steve Harvey hosts one of America's longest-running and favorite game shows and Atlantans can join the live audience. As of Oct. 17, 2016, the show was on hiatus, but you can submit your information here to learn about new opportunities as they become available.
Things to know: For information on becoming a contestant: call 323-762-8467. This line provides a recording of upcoming cities for auditions and email addresses to submit your information for a specific audition.

Note: All five family members have to be related by blood, marriage or legal adoption and present for the audition.

Spartan
Chattahoochee Hills/Bouckaert Farm, 9445 Browns Lake Road, Fairburn.
Minimum age 12

"Spartan," NBC's new reality competition based on the world's most grueling obstacle course, tapes in Fairburn. While it's currently on hiatus, you can sign up to be on a viewers waiting list. Note, though, that the casted event and the nature of the set mean that anyone participating in the audience needs to have the physical ability to do so.

Requirements: standing for extended periods, walking up and down stairs and following instructions during the five hours of taping.
