In the 12 days leading up to Christmas, wsbtv.com will feature some of the best Christmas lights from the Atlanta area and beyond. The area features plenty of businesses that offer Christmas lights to see like Lake Lanier Islands, Callaway Gardens, Life University, Six Flags and the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, but for these, wsbtv.com will focus on home displays.
On the 12 day of Christmas, my true love sent me back to where it all started, Christmas in the Grove at 1428 Oak Grove Dr, Decatur, Georgia. There, you'll find last year's champion of ABC's "The Great Christmas Light Fight."
On the 11th day of Christmas, my true love sent me to Gladewood Drive in Alpharetta. There, you'll find an entire block decorated for the holidays. See a giant Santa, a home with lights dancing to music, a nativity scene and more.
On the 10th day of Christmas, my true love sent me to 1091 Monroe Drive NE in Atlanta. There, you'll find Holiday Magic. Timothy Woodruff's show includes 15,000 LED lights, six inflatables, one 12 foot mega tree, two 20 foot leaping arches, 2 giant 5 1/2 foot candy cane pin wheels, 16 color light projectors, one 3 foot talking reindeer, 20 strobes, 6 colored LED flood lights, and one snow machine, all synchronized in a 45 minute show.
On the ninth day of Christmas, my true love sent me to 18 Riverwood Landing Dallas. There, you'll find Atkinson Christmas Lights.
On the eighth day of Christmas, my true love sent me to 116 N Mountain Brooke Dr., Ball Ground. There, you'll find Mint Julep Christmas. The display used to be located in Alpharetta, but the homeowners moved to escape some of the traffic. They designed and created their 2014 Christmas display with 40,000 lights synchronized to over 20 songs using 128 channels of Light-O-Rama controllers.
On the seventh day of Christmas, my true love sent me to 540 North Fields Pass in Milton. Not only will you find lights dancing to music there, but you'll find four singing Christmas trees that are sure to put you in the holiday mood.

On the sixth day of Christmas, my true love sent me to Christmas in Castille at 4220 Tivoli Way in Alpharetta. Here's some more info on the display from owner Ken MacMaster: The display includes 5,200 feet of extension cords and 240 channels running 55,000 lights. Contrary to popular belief, probably from "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation," the power bill is not outstanding. MacMaster said he paid around $65 more than a typical winter month last year to run the display. Since the lights are blinking, it does not use as much power as a "Griswold" type display that runs full power while lit.

On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love sent me to Felix Family Christmas Lights at 224 Oliver Overlook in Dallas. There's Frosty, the Grinch, Mary, Joseph, the baby Jesus and thousands of lights.
On the third day of Christmas, my true love sent me to Clairmont Road near Trailmark Drive in Decatur. There's no music to listen to or dancing lights. It's Santa kneeling in front of a cross, or dare we say Tebowing.
On the second day of Christmas, my true love sent me to Gladewood Drive in Alpharetta. This home is just one of an entire block that's decorated for the holidays. We'll have more on the rest of the block later in the countdown.
On the 1st day of Christmas, my true love sent me to Christmas in the Grove at 1428 Oak Grove Dr, Decatur, Georgia.
Christmas in the Grove includes 115,000 lights, four miles of extension cords, 47 Light-O-Rama controllers and over 750 channels of computerized animation.
