These two Atlanta companies offer the best 401(k) plans

Georgians seeking access to the best 401(k) plans are in luck. Two of the 10 companies ranked in financial research firm BrightScope’s companies with the best 401(k) plans are headquartered right here in the state.

Atlanta’s Delta Air Lines and United Parcel Service both made the firm’s list.

To come up with the ranking, analysts scored each company’s plans based on more than 200 data points found in public documents that large employers have filed with the Labor Department and Securities and Exchange Commission, CNBC.com reported.

UPS, at No. 10, has $1.29 billion assets in its UPS/IPA Defined Contribution Money Purchase Pension Plan.
