Six Flags Over Georgia says it will hire 3,000 people for seasonal jobs this year and has begun taking applications.

One of the area's biggest employers for seasonal workers, the theme park plans to host its first job fair of the year on Saturday. But job seekers must first apply online at www.sixflagsjobs.com. Selected applicants will be invited to off-site interviews at the job fair.

Openings range from jobs in admissions and food service to ride operators, security officers and marketing researchers.

A spokesperson for the park predicted hiring will be up a bit from last year due to the addition of 12 new rides and attractions in new family themed areas.
