Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is putting more than 80 retail spots up for grabs around the domestic terminal and concourses.

Officials say they aim for a "very aggressive" schedule to award the contracts in October and execute leases in December — just before Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed's term ends in January 2018.

The tight time frame for businesses to submit proposals has generated concern among some retailers that want a chance at airport locations.
