Smart Asset recently conducted a study to determine the fastest-growing occupations in every state, and for Georgia, it’s food and tobacco roasting, baking and dry machine operator jobs.

The personal finance website came up with its findings with some help from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Collecting data from each state from 2012 to 2016, researchers picked out the jobs that saw the most growth over the last four years.

Overall, the manufacturing field saw the most growth in the South. For Tennessee, food batch makers came out on top. For Mississippi, it was chemical plant operators, and for Kentucky, it was machine assemblers.

As for other parts of the county, STEM jobs were the fastest-growing jobs in eight states, teaching gigs increased the most in seven and medical careers were in high demand in eight.

What were the nationwide results?

While solar photovoltaic installers were the fastest-growing industry in the US, the fastest-growing occupation in America was the personal care and service industry.
