Delta Air Lines is canceling about 260 flights in south Florida from Friday evening through Sunday, and says it expects more flight cancellations for airports along the Gulf Coast.

The Atlanta-based airline is canceling its flights in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach starting Friday night through Sunday. Delta is also suspending its Friday and Saturday flights in Key West.
Overall, Delta has canceled about 350 flights from Friday evening through Monday, including cancellations in the Caribbean and the Bahamas.
Southwest Airlines, the second-largest carrier at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, extended many flight cancellations in Irma-affected areas into Monday.
Dallas-based Southwest is canceling all of its flights starting Friday evening through at least Monday in Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers and West Palm Beach.
The airline is also suspending its flights in Orlando starting Saturday late afternoon through at least Monday.
Southwest’s Tampa flights are also canceled from Saturday evening through at least Monday. The airline is also canceling its Jacksonville flights after the first departures Monday morning.
In the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, Southwest plans to resume reduced service in Punta Cana and San Juan starting Saturday. Its flights to Nassau in the Bahamas and Havana, Cuba are canceled through at least Monday due to cancellations from Florida.
Delta has also added 24 extra flights departing from Florida, the Caribbean and the Bahamas as residents evacuate.
