A Lindbergh Center Thai restaurant has expanded with a Midtown location.

26 Thai Kitchen & Bar opened this week at 824 Juniper St. NE in a space previously occupied by Mulan Chinese restaurant.

Owner Niki Pattharakositkul, a 2012 Georgia State University grad who grew up in Thailand and learned traditional recipes and cooking techniques from her family, opened the first 26 Thai in 2016.

She said the menu for the new location varies slightly from the original.

“(We’ll have) the classic Thai dishes you already know and love (pad thai, massaman curry) but we have introduced several new chef specials that are unique to the midtown restaurant,” Pattharakositkul said via email. “We hope to introduce authentic Thai cuisine to Midtown.”

The Midtown restaurant also boasts a cocktail list unique to the location, as well as a beer slushie machine.

The two story building has a “homey, vintage style” that “incorporates nostalgic Thai decor with a modern twist,” Pattharakositkul said.

The space, which has a full outdoor patio and deck, seats 90 indoors and 40 outside.

26 Thai Midtown is open from 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday. 11:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday, noon-11 p.m. Saturday and noon-10 p.m. Sunday.
